The National School Nutrition Programme Service Providers
Association says the scrapping of the VAT hike has come as a huge relief.

Chairperson, Lindani Matiwane has welcomed Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana's reversal of his decision to raise VAT by 0.5% on Thursday.
The Western Cape High Court has also set the rate hike aside following an urgent application by the DA and EFF.

Matiwane says they are faced with other challenges.
"As it is, we are facing a serious challenge with the prices of food whenever we go to purchase and deliver our stock.
“So, it was going to be more difficult, especially because of the fact that we did not have much increase. I think we had [a] 4c increase. So, it was just not going to be able to work for us."
