Sbu Ndebele in court on corruption charges
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Former national Transport Minister, Sbu Ndebele will join four of his co-accused in the Pretoria Regional Court in July next year, facing corruption charges.
Ndebele appeared in the Durban Commercial Crimes Court earlier today where the matter was postponed for further investigation.
The National Prosecuting Authority's Luvuyo Mafu says Ndebele's co-accused appeared yesterday in the Pretoria Regional Court, where the case was also postponed.
"We can confirm that the former Minister of Transport appeared in Durban today due to arrangements between the legal team and the prosecuting team because he was already in Durban, therefore, he had to appear there," he said.
Ndebele is reportedly out on R10 000 bail. The Mercury Newspaper reported that the former minister is accused of accepting over R10-million in bribes over the extension of a multi-billion-rand project.
