SASSA reassures customers after KwaMashu office closure
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
The South African Social Security Agency says they will ensure there is minimal disruption and inconvenience to customers following the closure of their KwaMashu office.
SASSA says management took the decision to shut the doors of that office amid safety concerns for staff.
Communications Manager Vusumuzi Mahaye says in recent weeks, employees based at the KwaMashu office which is near the hostel have been targeted.
Mahaye says customers can make use of three other offices in Durban.
"These are - the Durban local office in the Prasa building, at the Durban station, Inanda local office on Ntswempe Road and the Phoenix office in Pandora Street. In the near future, we will be opening another office in KwaMashu," he said.
