South Africa's just experienced its biggest daily spike in COVID-19 cases.
The Health Department says the number of new infections has jumped by 354 in the past 24-hours.
It's the largest single-day increase the country has seen so far, bringing the total number of cases now to 5 350.
Minister Zweli Mkhize says 197 127 tests have been conducted so far.
Another 10 people have died from coronavirus-related illnesses.
In KwaZulu-Natal, two women aged 89 and 67 and with underlying health conditions passed away.
Our national death toll's climbed to 103, while the total number of recoveries is now 2 073.
A total of 956 people in KZN have been diagnosed with the virus so far.
Mkhize says what's concerning is that the number of new cases in the Western Cape has almost doubled from 133 the day before to yesterday's 264.
Over the past 24 hours, the province has contributed to 75% of South Africa's new infections.
