SA records 22 910 new Covid cases, 460 fatalities

Four hundred and sixty more people, diagnosed with coronavirus have died, taking the total number of fatalities to 63 499.
Nearly 23 000 new Covid-19 cases were picked up nationally the last 24-hour cycle.
These represent a 30.4% positivity rate.
Gauteng, the epicentre of the third Covid-19 wave, recorded more than 11 700 new cases.

KwaZulu-Natal confirmed over 1 600.
As far as the rollout of the vaccine goes, more than 190 000 shots were administered in the last 24-hours.
The total number of jabs taken so far has reached four million.
