SA actress busted for drugs worth R4.6m

SA Revenue Service officials at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg have bust a passenger flying into the country from Abu Dhabi, with more than 15 kilograms of crystal meth.
SARS says the contraband has an estimated street value of R4.6-million.
''SARS Customs officials at OR Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) discovered 15.4 kilograms of ephedrine (crystal meth) in the bag of a passenger who had arrived from Abu Dhabi on Sunday, 27 September 2015,'' SARS said in a statement.
It is reported Customs officials noticed suspicious images while scanning one of the passenger's bags.
Following further investigations, 15 parcels wrapped in foil-like material were found hidden in the luggage.
Police have arrested a woman identified only as a South African actress.
''The narcotics and passenger, identified as a South African actress, were detained and subsequently handed over to South African Police Service (SAPS) Organised Crime for further investigation. In line with South African law, the details of the passenger will only be released once she has appeared in court," the statement read.
The actress cannot be named until she appears in court.
