Residents assured as Mpumalanga township undergoes maintenance
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Residents of Mpumalanga Township, west of Durban can expect to be without electricity for several hours from tomorrow night.
There’s going to be maintenance work carried out on the Mpumalanga substation.
eThekwini Municipality's Tozi Mthethwa says the power interruption should last until Tuesday morning.
"We conduct routine maintenance at our sub-stations to make sure that we minimise outages in the area going forward.
"We ask you to please bare with us during this period. Should you encounter any power outage of a prolonged nature, please contact the electricity call centre - so that we can log the query for you and come out to assist you if not related to the maintenance we are already announcing," Mthethwa says.
