Updated | By Steve Bhengu
A South African ambassador to BRICS says the political dynamics currently playing out in our country are not unique to us.
Professor Anil Sooklal has been speaking during the a BRICS Master Class event - being hosted by the Regent School of Business in Durban, today.
It's being attended by delegates from BRICS countries - which are Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Sooklal says while recent political developments may concern international investors - they shouldn't.
"We have gone backwards again in the past year or two because of severe challenges being experienced on the global economic and financial front. South Africa is also experiencing the pain arising there from. During times of difficulties and challenges one should not buckle but one should become more resilient," he said.
