Ramaphosa 'focused on rebuilding economy' amid criminal complaint
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
President Cyril Ramaphosa says he remains firmly focused on
the task of rebuilding the economy and the country.
The Presidency released a statement on Saturday night on the allegations of wrongdoing made against Ramaphosa by former spy boss Arthur Fraser.
Fraser laid a criminal complaint against the president earlier this week in connection with the theft of money from Ramaphosa's farm in Limpopo.
Ramaphosa reiterated his belief that he was not involved in any criminal conduct and again pledged his full cooperation with any police investigation.
President's spokesperson Vincent Magwenya.
"He once again pledges his full cooperation with any police investigation," says the Presidency's Vincent Magwenya.

"He confirms following the incident in February 2020, that security has been approved around his home. Due to the possible investigation, the police will not be able to engage further on the detail of the matters and urges that due processes will be allowed to take its course."
Political analyst Levi Ndou says the claims of wrongdoing made against President Cyril Ramaphosa come as no surprise, as the different ANC factions jostle for position ahead of the party's national conference in December.
Ndou says the claims form part of efforts to deny Ramaphosa a second term as ANC leader.
"It was predictable and I still expect more of this kind of accusation to come in because that is what ANC members do to one another."
He says the allegations will need to be tested in a court of law.
"We should not throw stones towards Fraser, we should try and understand why he has done so and whether there is a substance or not. It is up to the law enforcement to take a position."
