Ramaphosa ditches Davos to deal with "pressing domestic priorities"

President Cyril Ramaphosa is giving next week's World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos a miss, to deal focus 'pressing domestic priorities'.
The meeting which will be held from 21 to 24 January, will see world leaders engage in collaborative efforts to shape global agendas.
But, the Presidency says in a statement that Ramaphosa will stay home to deal with issues here, and prepare for the cabinet and ANC Makgotla.
"The President is further currently engaged with preparations towards South Africa’s assumption of the Chairship of the African Union at the 33rd African Union Summit on 9-10 February 2020," the Presidency says.
It says Ramaphosa will also skip the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London on Monday.
Ministers Tito Mboweni and Naledi Pandor will lead the South African delegation to WEF.
