Protesting parents bring Umlazi to standstill
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
eThekwini metro police have moved in to clear a protest outside a school in Umlazi on Wednesday morning.
Spokesperson Zama Dlamini says parents blocked the road outside Comtech High, disrupting traffic as motorists tried to navigate burning debris.
It's not clear what their grievances are.
"For now, we are not too sure of the reason, but it was the parents of the students. They have been removed from the road and are waiting for someone to address them."
Traffic's flowing freely again.
