Police still searching for KwaNdengezi robbers
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Police are still searching for the suspects who allegedly blew up an ATM in KwaNdengezi outside Pinetown.
Officers are urging community members with any information regarding the crime to come forward.
Three men held up a security guard at gunpoint outside a supermarket on Sunday before five more men stormed in.
Police say the group then blew up the ATM and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Spokesperson Thulani Zwane says cases of business robbery, armed robbery and malicious damage to property have been opened.
"No arrests have been made and we are still looking for the suspects. At this stage, we do not have any information - we don't know whether they used their own getaway vehicle after the robbery," he said.
