Police search for New Germany hijackers
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Police have launched a manhunt for the four armed suspects who sped off with a Durban father's car following a hijacking, taking his four-year-old child with him.
Thokozane Dlamini was driving home to Morningside with his daughter on Saturday morning, when they were approached by the gang at a robot.
The men smashed Dlamini's front window and ordered the father to sit in the back.
A shaken Dlamini says they drove around for a few hours and then forced him out of the car.

His little girl was still inside. But he says the relief was indescribable when he received a call in the evening to say that his daughter had been dropped off outside Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Phoenix.
"I believe they just dropped the child next to the hospital. I think they wanted the child to be found. The child was just wandering around near the hospital. A stranger may have seen the child, and spoken to her. The child then managed to give them her mum's telephone number," he said.
Dlamini's car was also found a day later in the Marianhill area.
