Police probe rape of woman allegedly by taxi driver and conductor

The Sexual Offences Unit in Phoenix has been brought in to investigate
the rape of a woman, allegedly by a taxi driver and conductor.
The woman says she flagged down a minibus taxi near Moses Mabhida Stadium yesterday.
Police Spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says she’d been on her way to KwaDukuza.

“While the taxi was on the N2, near Sibaya, the conductor covered her mouth, while driver pointed a gun,” Gwala said.
“The victim was then raped by the suspect who left her on the side of the road. Circumstances are still being investigated,” Gwala added.
