Police nab Verulam robbery suspect in hospital

KwaZulu-Natal police have tracked down a robbery suspect to a Durban hospital.
It's alleged three gunmen entered a home in Parkgate in Verulam on Wednesday night, and held up a family.

Police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the homeowner fired multiple shots, that struck one of the suspects in the leg.
"The two suspects dragged him to their getaway vehicle and fled the scene. Police managed to hunt down a suspect aged 33, who was arrested at a hospital in Durban, where he is under police guard," she said.
The two remaining suspects fled with a TV set, a laptop and an tablet device.
Gwala says the suspect will appear in court soon.
