Police arrest seven in Durban drug bust

Following the arrest of an alleged drug kingpin in Durban yesterday, police have now also apprehended the suspect's 19-year-old daughter.
The teenager was arrested a short while ago for possession of heroin. It brings the number of suspects taken into custody in this bust to seven.

The suspects are believed to be from the Bloodz gang.
Officers say they also seized over R70,000 in narcotics and R97,000 in cash.
SAPS eThekwini Cluster Head, Lucas Ngobeni says teams had been watching the suspects for some time.

"They found drugs from one kingpin and they also arrested his wife. While officers were arresting the two, the man's brother arrived. He had a scuffle with police and was arrested, together with his bodyguards. Firearms were also recovered," he said.
