PMB girl, 8 in hospital after snake bite
A girl thought to be about eight-years-old is recovering after she was bitten by a snake in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.
It is understood the child was bitten on the foot while walking along a driveway in the Northdale area.
Paramedics who responded to the call-out say she had swelling and pain around the bite.
The girl was taken to hospital after receiving treatment.
Netcare911 identified the snake as a night adder.
