Triple murder accused, Collin Pillay has temporarily abandoned his bid for bail.

Pillay made a brief appearance in the Verulam Magistrate's Court - north of Durban today in connection with the deaths of Phoenix mother Jane Govindsamy and her two daughters - Denisha and Nekita.
Attorney, Chris Gounden told the court earlier that they had decided to abandon Pillay's bail application for now as they are not in a position to proceed.
The defence wants access to a statement bid, Pillay allegedly made to police officers.

The accused claims he was forced to sign blank statements.
Gounden said these are required for the purpose of the bail application and that they cannot proceed without them.
In a previous court appearance, Magistrate Irfan Khalil denied the request that the statements be made available.
Gounden says they are planning to appeal the order. The case has been adjourned until the end of November.
