Parliament probing EFF conduct in Parliament
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
Parliament says a report is being compiled into some EFF members’ disruptive behaviour in the National Assembly.
Some were ordered to leave the house on Thursday after they tried to stop Minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Gordhan, from delivering his department’s budget vote, calling him, “a constitutional delinquent”.
EFF MPs then walked down to the podium and towards Gordhan, before parliamentary security was called in.
Parliament's spokesperson Moloto Mothapo says EFF members have broken house rules. He says after the report’s finalised, appropriate action will be taken against the party.
