Simelane says the community health centre in Tongaat saw an influx of injured people after the tornado.
"We have to recall the staff that logged off, and we appreciate that all of them came back and were committed to doing the work. We then had to add staff to other facilities and add teams to ensure that they were able to assist all the people who were in the vicinity at the time. We also decided we are going to utilise three facilities in terms of hospitals."
