At the scene, police were given a description of a suspect who stole a bicycle from the garage.
Police spotted the man about 3km away from the scene. When he spotted the police, he dropped the bicycle and fled towards a nearby informal settlement.
Police cornered him and arrested him moments later.
As police returned to the spot, where the bicycle was dropped, they realised that it was missing.
However, the mountain bike's tyre tracks led police to the nearest shack, where a bicycle was found. Another man was arrested for possession of stolen property.
