Once the hotspot, Eastern Cape reports zero new daily COVID-19 deaths

Four provinces have
recorded zero new Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours.
Eastern Cape, Limpopo, North West and the Northern Cape contributed to the drastic drop in deaths seen across South Africa over the weekend.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize, says in his daily coronavirus report that there were 31 new Covid-19 related deaths, the lowest daily fatalities since the onset of the second wave.

"Eastern Cape 0, Free State 2, Gauteng 12, Kwa-Zulu Natal 2, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 4, North West 0, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 11.
"This brings the total to 50 678 deaths," reads the statement by Mkhize.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 1 521 068.
The recovery rate now stands at 94,7%.
A total of 101 841 health workers have thus far been vaccinated.
