Officer dies in Bayview house fire

A policeman has died after his house caught alight in Bayview last night.
Initial reports are that the 37-year-old officer - who had been stationed at Chatsworth SAPS - was asleep when the fire started.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says emergency services found the home fully engulfed by flames.
"The main quest docket is being investigated by Bayview SAPS after the incident that took place last night at 9pm, where there was a fire in one of the houses in Bayview. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated."
