Chatsworth police, south of Durban, have already nabbed 6 suspects as part of their Women’s Month operations.
Officers launched Operation Basadi leading to the arrest of suspects for crimes including domestic violence, malicious damage to property, assault, housebreaking and the illegal possession of a firearm.
Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the operation will continue into the weekend.
"The operation is still continuing in the Chatsworth area and the arrested suspects will appear in court soon. The operation will continue as there are suspects who have been wanted by police for a while now," she said.
"Some of the crimes they have committed range from assault, housebreaking and malicious damage to property," Gwala said.
"So the operation will go on as part of women's moth celebrations," she said.
