Ntuli: Youth turning to crime as source of income
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli is concerned about the impact of youth unemployment on crime.
He believes the job struggle has forced some to turn to other sources of income for survival.
"Young people engage in criminal activities, and the rate is skyrocketing and alarming. These statistics paint a bleak picture of the state of our youth."

Ntuli spoke at a two-day youth business summit at Durban Exhibition Centre on Thursday.
He said they are committed to addressing the issue.
"In this administration, we have decided to review the provincial youth economic development strategy to ensure that it becomes an important instrument to address issues of youth unemployment, entrepreneurship, innovation, drug and substance abuse and teenage pregnancy."
