Nquthu by-election results unchallenged: IEC
The Independent Electoral Commission says it has received no objections from political parties to the results of the Nquthu by-election.
Political parties had until Friday afternoon to submit formal objections.
The IFP won the Wednesday by-election comfortably, taking 14 of the 17 wards.
The party secured 19 seats on the council. The ANC has 11 while the DA, EFF, and NFP each have one seat.
The IEC's Mawethu Mosery says parties are happy with how the election was conducted and the results are available to everyone.
