No taxi strikes planned in eThekwini
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
There is no taxi strike planned for today nor for the near future, and this is what the South African National Taxi Association has told Newswatch following rumours that got commuters worried there would be another one.
Last week's strike over impounded taxis lasted for four days before an agreement was reached between the eThekwini Municipality and taxi associations.
Santaco's Yusuf Khaliva says the rumours of a strike started circulating yesterday.
"There will be no more strikes taking place as we've reached a good resolution with the eThekwini Municipality. So, there's no need for the taxi industry to strike again," he said.
Khaliva would not be drawn on the details of the agreement with the city.
