No arrests in Durban North human trafficking bust
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Local police say an arrest is yet to be made after four women were rescued from an alleged human trafficking and sex trade syndicate at a home in Durban North.
The women were rescued in an operation on Wednesday night after they were allegedly lured from Johannesburg to Durban on a promise of a lucrative job opportunity.
Police say on arrival they were told that they would be involved in the sex trade business.
Detectives say they were instructed not to go to the front of the house where people might see them before one of the woman alerted the authorities.
