Nehawu members get bonuses
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Parliament has paid out bonuses to Nehawu members.
The move comes after a strike by the union at the doors of Parliament turned violent last month.
Workers wanted bonuses to be paid on 12 month's salary and not a month's pay.
Parliament said they met with Nehawu on Friday at a meeting facilitated by the CCMA, which provided clarity to all parties on how the bonuses would be paid.
Parliament maintains that the Nehawu strike was illegal and unprotected.
It has urged the union to refrain from disrupting proceedings in future.
