N3 remains closed after deadly truck crash near Mariannhill Toll Plaza
Updated | By Lauren Hendricks
Debris and the truck's corn load have been scattered across the roadway, hampering clean-up operations.
The Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) says it is still too early to determine when both carriageways of the N3 will reopen in the west of Durban.
It says the scene of Wednesday morning's deadly multi-vehicle crash near the Mariannhill Toll Plaza is still active.
A woman in her 30s died when a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with her car.

RTI spokesperson Sindi Msimang says the truck was travelling towards Durban when it rear-ended a light delivery vehicle, causing it to lose control and overturn in the opposite carriageway.
A fourth car was also struck during the crash.
Debris and the truck's corn load have been scattered across the roadway, hampering clean-up operations and the reopening of the Pietermaritzburg-bound side of the route.
"It is premature for me to actually say how long the clean-up will take, as there is a product [scattered] on the scene and there is a blue code.
"My advice to the motorists [is to] please listen to the traffic officers that are on scene there. They will advise you of the diversion points," said Msimang.
