MUT brings autumn recess forward as student strikes continue
The autumn recess for academic staff and students at the Mangosuthu University of Technology in Umlazi, south of Durban has been brought forward.
Management at MUT says they have decided to break due to student protests.

Spokesperson, Bheki Hlophe says campus will remain open to students who want to stay in their residences for self-study, as well as for those who have unresolved NSFAS related matters.
"This was a decision taken by Senate in the view of the continuing student strike. Academic activities are now expected to resume on the 9th of April, 2018," he said.
