KZN police divers have made a grisly discovery.
They've found the body of a murder victim floating in a river alongside the N2 freeway in Durban.
Officers from the SAPS Search and Rescue Unit were called to the Umhlangane river - near the Queen Nandi Drive petroport - after the victim's partially decomposed body was spotted floating downstream.
They found what appears to be a knife wound in the man's back.
"They recovered the body of a man who is about 30-years-old. It's suspected that the man was stabbed and he drowned. A case of murder was opened at Greenwood Park for further investigation. There are no arrests at this stage," Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane said.
