Motshekga denies DA's SANDF 'missing millions' claim
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The Defence and Military Veterans Minister, Angie Motshekga, has refuted claims by the DA that the Department cannot account for R2.1 billion from Treasury.

The DA also alleged that the troops from the Democratic Republic of Congo remain unpaid despite R813 million allocated for their allowances.
The party said it would request the minister and the department to appear before Parliament to give answers.
However, Motshekga labelled the claims as false, unfounded, and deliberately misleading.

"It is both irresponsible and shameful for any political party to stoop so low as to exploit the lived realities of our soldiers for cheap political gain,"
"The Ministry urges all political actors to desist from spreading falsehoods that serve only to misinform the public and cause unnecessary confusion and anxiety among our defence personnel and their families."
The troops who were deployed to the DRC returned home last month.
