Motorists urged to renew licences as extension dates close in

The Transport Department's urging motorists to renew their licences, temporary permits and motor vehicle licence discs - on time - saying we might not get another extension.
For some renewals, the grace period ended two days ago.
"Motor vehicle licence disks, temporary permits and roadworthy certificates that expired during the period 26 March 2020 to the 31 May were deemed to be valid for the period ending on 31 August 2020," says The Department's Ayanda Allie Paine.
Paine has issued the reminder for motorists - saying we shouldn't wait until the last minute to renew our documentation.

You have until the end of November this year, to renew your motor trade number licence - if it expired anytime between the 26 March and 31 May.
Some, have until next year to renew their documentation.
"Learners licences, driving licences cards, temporary driving licences and your professional driving permits which expired during the period of 26 March 2020 to 31 August are deemed to be valid for a period that ends on 31 January 2021."
