More fuel protests to come: COSATU KZN
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Workers union, Cosatu in KZN, says they are already in the process of planning more protests over the rising fuel prices.
Yesterday, hundreds of members took to the streets of Durban, embarking on several go-slows on major freeways and blocking the N3 by Marianhill Toll Plaza. Police used stun grenades to disperse crowds that tried to disrupt traffic on the Pietermaritzburg-bound lane.
Cosatu's provincial secretary, Edwin Mkhize, says they want the fuel price and VAT to be lowered immediately.
Mkhize says they will continue the fight until their demands are met.

"The impact is huge. Also remember that many companies did not increase wages significantly and as a result, many workers are suffocating.
"Some workers cannot even afford to go to work," Mkhize said.
