Roger and Christine Solik went missing from their estate last month.

A passer-by later stumbled upon the body of 57-year-old Christine in a river in Impendle.

Her car was then found abandoned in Taylor's Halt.

A few days later, the body of 66-year-old Roger was recovered from the same river, a few kilometers downstream from where his wife was found.

The KZN police's Thembeka Mbhele says the three arrests were made in Umlazi and Impendle on Friday night.

"One of the suspects who came clean was arrested in Umlazi after an intensive investigation. Further to that, this led them to Impendle where two suspects were arrested and found in possession of firearms.

"Certain items stolen from the Solik family were recovered there. They are facing charges related to kidnapping, murder, house robbery and are appearing in the Howick Magistrate's Court tomorrow," she said.

A fourth suspect, Thulani Mthembu, was the first to be taken into custody following the double murder.
