Mom, son nabbed with drugs in Ndwedwe face charges

A mother and her son will appear in the Ndwedwe Magistrates court north of Durban today after being found in been possession of 33 bags of dagga in the Umona area.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says officers had been conducting an operations in the area when they recovered the drugs with an estimated street value of R100 000.
The suspects, aged 22 and 51, were arrested between Vryheid and Pongola after they were allegedly transporting the drugs from Mozambique to Nquthu - northern KZN.
Zwane says officers received a tip-off that led to the arrest.
"They were suspected of selling dagga. Members gathered information and proceeded to one of the areas at Ndwedwe were they arrested the pair," he said.
