Search and rescue teams from eThekwini and Umhlali are still working to recover the body of a teenage boy from the rubble after the wall of a Durban home collapsed during heavy rains on Thursday night.
Local government officials in KwaZulu-Natal have confirmed a mother and her 16-year-old son were killed in the tragedy in Waterloo, north of the city.
IPSS Medical Rescue says teams retrieved the body of the 59-year-old woman earlier.
The search began late Thursday night but was suspended over safety concerns.
Cooperative Governance MEC Sipho Hlomuka has meanwhile urged residents across the province to be vigilant as the province could receive above average rainfall in the coming months.
