Mom demands justice for son gunned down in Sydenham
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A Wentworth mother is demanding justice for her murdered son.
"For them to be out on bail will be putting us at risk and being that the third main suspect is still out there, and they cannot find him. So imagine the three of them together," says the mother of 17-year-old Jarell Somana.
"These guys will skip bail. We are really hoping and praying the justice system will now fail us and keep them inside."
Somana was gunned down on Butcher Road in Sydenham last month.

Two suspects appeared at the Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday to apply for bail.
They have been remanded in custody.
The case has been postponed to the 11th of March.
Somana's mother, who asked not to be named, has described the day of her son's death.
"Is a non-describable feeling. It's the shook that kicks in like you don't believe it. It's like somebody is lying to you."

"When I got to the scene, that's when I realised it was true and having to know that my son is lying there and I couldn't even go see his body. That was the worst part for me because I couldn't. My heart was broken."
She says her husband was also shot and killed two years ago.
