Spokesperson for the Sydenham family and attorney, Vasthi Williams says they are overcome with grief.

"All this time, they were holding out hope that it might not be him. But now that it's confirmed, they have to deal with that. There's a lot of pain and anger. All their hope has been killed," Williams said.

Williams says the bereaved family is lost.

"I think that its worse that they know that there's no actual body to go and say goodbye to. There's anger and frustration because this is not what they had wanted to happen. They don't know quite how to deal with it," she said.

Miguel went missing from outside Rippon Primary School almost two months ago.

His decomposed body was found earlier this month by a K9 Unit just metres away from the home of the prime suspect in his kidnapping case.
