Updated | By Andrew Robertson
Traffic authorities have reopened the N3 E B Cloete interchange, Pietermaritzburg bound after some commotion there earlier.
A group believed to be taking part in the SAFTU nationwide strike today used vehicles to block off the northbound lanes this morning.
Some 60 vehicles are travelling in a convoy to the legislature in Pietermaritzburg.
Durban Metro Police spokesperson, Parboo Sewpersad says they're being escorted by officers, and they're now on the M13. "Motorists are warned to stay away from the M13, use alternative routes. We are not sure where or how the protest will unfold. We have the Durban Metro police, RTI, SAPS but we are requesting motorists to practice extreme caution on the road today."
