Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire at a residential building in Durban's Umbilo area.
Residents and firefighters extinguished the blaze on the roof of the building in Melbourne Road earlier.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says no injuries have been reported.
"On arrival, paramedics were shown onto the roof of the apartment building where there was various items on fire but on the roof. The fire was quickly extinguished by people staying in the flat as well as the Durban Fire Department," he says.
