March and March says despite the ongoing mass repatriation of undocumented foreign nationals, their marches will continue throughout until demands are met.

The protest group has led another day of demonstrations in Pinetown, Newcastle and oPhongolo.

Calls for employment

Thursday’s gathering was focused on unemployment, with a group of food delivery operators also taking part.

Leader Jacinta Ngobese Zuma said that the protests will continue especially in local communities.

The Pinetown CBD came to standstill at some point this afternoon, as protesters peacefully made their way through the busy streets.

They sang songs and chanted slogans calling for job opportunities for South African citizens.

Movement eyes expansion

March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese Zuma says this will intensify their action.

“We want them to prioritize South Africans because we know they are one of the biggest people who are beneficiaries of illegal immigration in the country because they get to hire all these illegal immigrants from wherever they hire them from without following due process in the country, which according to us, should have them arrested even right now.

“So, we're just asking them to self-correct. If not, then we're going to have to intensify.”

During her address, Ngobese Zuma urged the supporters to continue exposing companies that continue to hire undocumented migrants.
