Manhunt underway for 10 suspects after PMB CIT heist

Police in KwaZulu-Natal have launched a manhunt for 10
suspects after a cash-in-transit heist in Pietermaritzburg.

Spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo says it took place on Edendale Road on Friday night.
“It is reported that the suspects accosted a cash in transit vehicle, shot one security guard, robbed them of their firearms before stealing an undisclosed amount of money.”

KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the crime scene.
“Paramedics rendered immediate medical attention to stabilize a patient who had sustained a gunshot wound. The patient was transported to nearby hospital for further medical attention,” said Spokesperson, Craig Botha.
