Manhunt for killers of PMB social worker
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A manhunt has been launched for suspects involved in the murder of a female social worker in Pietermaritzburg.
In a statement, the KZN Social Development Department says 34-year-old Sithembile Vilakazi was murdered at her home last week in what is suspected to have been an orchestrated attack.
The department says Vilakazi was a social worker stationed at Vulindlela Service Office for 10 years.
Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza says police have launched a massive manhunt for the people responsible for the killing of the social worker.
Khoza also urged community members with information on the murder to come forward.
Vilakazi's death comes months after her husband, Sibusiso Vilakazi, was also murdered.
