Mandeni technicians work to fix burst pipe

Mandeni Municipality residents on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast are being urged to use water sparingly.
A burst pipe has disrupted water supply to the area since the weekend.
"We are working around the clock to ensure our people have access to water."
The Mpunzi Reservoir, which supplies areas such as Kudu, Inyathi and Dube, has been drained of water because of ongoing repairs.

Mandeni's Xolelwa Mazibuko says they are providing residents with water tankers for now."We do understand the frustration and we urge the community to try and conserve the little bit of water that they have at the moment," she said.
