A KZN man has begun serving two life terms for raping his two nieces.
The girls were aged 11 and 12 when the abuse began.
The 23-year-old man from Winterton was sentenced on Wednesday.
Police say the two sisters had been in the care of their grandmother following the death of their mother at the time of the abuse.
The man repeatedly attacked the girls over a two year period between 2016 and 2018.

Their ordeal came to light when one of them fell pregnant and confided in their father.
Prosecutors say the two rape survivors' testimonies and DNA evidence linked the accused to the offense.
It has also emerged the man had also been physically abusing the children.
The Escourt Regional Court has sentenced him to a further 20 years for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
