Man killed in northern KZN crash
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
A man has been killed in a crash involving a bakkie and a truck on the Helpmekaar Road in northern KZN.
Provincial paramedics travelling on the route in the Uthukela District came across the accident scene at about 9.30am.
As they had not been responding to a call-out, events leading up to the collision are largely unclear at this stage.
KZN Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Robert Mckenzie says two others were injured in the crash.
"Tragically, one man believed to be an occupant of the bakkie sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Paramedics treated two other patients at the scene - one patient had serious injuries while the other patient had sustained relatively minor injuries.
"They were treated at the scene being transported through to hospital for continued medical care," he said.
