Man injured after being partially trapped under truck
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
A man has been treated for fractures to his arm after being partially trapped under a truck on the N3, near the Ashburton off-ramp.
Reports from the scene suggest the truck driver had stopped on the side of the highway, after having trouble with the heavy-duty vehicle.
The man went on to inspect the suspension of the heavy-duty vehicle before a shock absorber failed - crushing his arm.
On arrival, Netcare911 paramedics used specialised equipment to release the man trapped under the truck.
He was stabilised on scene and taken to hospital for further treatment.
