Load shedding is being taken down a notch

Eskom says the rolling blackouts are moving to Stage 1 from 5pm until 10pm tonight.
The utility's spokesperson, Sikhonathi Mantshantsha says a generation unit returned to service today, while another is expect back this evening.

"We currently 14 400 megawatts of capacity out on breakdowns while another 2 300 megawatts is out on planned maintenance.
"While this situation has improved at this point, we would like to urge the public to continue using electricity sparingly. We do expect the system to improve further this week."
